Title: Made out good at the Junkyard
Post by: Carl on June 02, 2008, 12:28:17 AM
Got a new hood, full digital cluster with trip computer and tac, velcro overlay for the 85+ dash, 2 cougar electroluminescent emblems and a Taurus electric fan for only 85 bucks.

If anyone wants the dash overlay (its blue) send me a PM and an offer.

Also, I found a T-Bird with the 140 MPH speedo but did not have time to pull it out. I will be going either tomorrow or next weekend to get it.

They have one 86 Coug and a bunch of 83-88 tbirds if anyone needs anything go ahead and post it here and I will look for it.

This junkyard has great prices so it's no prob for me to get it.

:D

I'm looking for the seat belts that go next to the seats in good shape.  canynon red if possible.  But not choosy if in good shape.

My digital dash cover is cruddy.  I have the one with 4 buttons on the right.  No spots or scratches.  looking for a very good one.

Door lock/unlock switches for each side.

rear view mirror.  Mirror must be unblemished.

Thanks for looking.

I am making a huge list and hitting the yard again this weekend so keep em comin. I think I saw another 4 button digi dash cover but I will have to look. I highly doubt it has no scratches or spots but I will check

I could also utilize a couple of pieces from the interior door panels on both sides:  Canyon Red:

Arm Rest - Not a huge priority

Door pocket molding piece - Passenger side biggest priority, broken, driver side would be good to have too.

See pic.

Thanks.

This could could be useful to many here (I know that I want one!):

Could you check (not just TB/Cougars, but any others that you can) for remote mount TFI parts? Specifically the harness and mount/heatsink?

Thank you for your work on the parts!

I've actually done this mod on my 84 T/C worked out great. I will tell you that I just extended the factory wiring and ran the same module that I had on the Dizzy. So I added 3 wires to run from the dizzy to the module. I stuck with the dizzy style TFI to save on cost. It cost about half of the module made for the heat sink. I did have to cut some fins off the heat sink to make room for the PIP wires.
