Whoa what a difference !!!!!! put my new gears in Friday(3.73) can't believe i didn't do this a long time ago. take off and the way this thing pics up now is unreal. Now if i can just keep my foot out of it i might be able to keep gas in her.:burnout:
Yeah, once you've run 3.73s, you've reached manhood...
Sorta like a :shakeass: compared to your palm...
Did you come from 2.73's?
Yeah the 3.73s are nice if you had 2.73 before what where your old gears???
Gears really are one of the best mods for the money. I could tell a big difference when I went from 3.08s to 3.55s in my bird. If I had it to do over again I would have went to 3.73 or 3.90.
GAHH cant wait to get mine in I'm doin 373s too. I got a buddy and he told me a few months ago a friend of his dad's (who did the rear end on their built-up '72 LeMans) would be happy to do it for me. I gotta rattle his cage and see if the guy definitely will be available and when.
I can't even imagine...all I know is I'm probably gonna have to get some self-control. Anyone know where they sell that stuff I can't seem to find it?
Oh yeah, gears REALLY wake these cars up. I just had some fun through some mountain roads today...wooo that was fun!
Yea guy's, I came from 2.73's and the difference is like WOW!!
The only thing is i now want even MORE POWER!!, which i'm planning on doing anyway, trick flow heads, cam, supercharger.
my wife says "your gonna get in trouble with that thing" and i say"naw, just gonna have some fun!!"
Once you do that and I get my new engine done, we gotta go up to Farmington and show em how us Fox Tbird guys do it :D
Stick a 2400 stall converter in it, the difference will be just as great as the 3.73s(assuming you can find traction which is going to require sticky tires)...
Yeah I still need to get one to go with my 3.73s :D
i had 2.73's swapped to 3.73s into my T-bird.
My dads 69 mustang had stock i think 3.08s or so swapped to 3.55s and then 3.90s now the car takes off really quick.
I have 4:30's to put into my car, but then again, 4.6s like to rev.
Gear multiplication rules......:burnout:
i cant wait till i get time off work to put my 4:10 gears in mine.
