As a pitcher. I pitched most of my life from when I was about 7 years old to 9th grade and got out of it.. Although after watching baseball I was thinking why not!? I might as well try. I could pitch high 70's low 80's back in high school but I have no clue what I can throw now.
What do you guys think? I am a little nervous but hey sometimes you have to step up and go for it.
I am going to start practicing all winter and hope for the best when I go to tryouts.
try it, worst that can happen is they tell you no
Or one of all them Hunnies will tell you know :) Don't worry there are more.
I'm not getting this one? :hick:
Go for it, if you don’t one day you will regret it
my advice work out hard do good cardio it will prevent injuries and sourness threw training
go for it no regrets
Oh piss I used know instead of no.. I was tired earlier. lol
Remember "The Rookie". It can happen to you.
good luck man, not like you need it.
and if they tell you no...tell 'em it's thier birthday. then tell 'em you don't give a f**k that it's thier birthday!
works everytime.
Nothing to loose, everything to gain. Why Not?
you'll regret not trying. I regret touring with a band around the world to this day. should have at least tried.----You need to do it , at least to know.
roll with it dawg. :hick:
That would be simply awesome. If you don't try it you will definitely kick yourself later on in life.
What type of pitches do you have, other than a fastball? Sinker? Slider?
 :headbang: Here's to your road of success,go for your goals and see what happens. lol ;)
Go for it!
I was a pitcher in little league and played up until high school. I never went and tried out at high school and now as a 5th year college student, I'm regretting it. Pitching was the one thing that I loved to do sports wise. I just wish I would have stuck with it. Now I'm way too out of shape to even consider going back.
Best of luck to you.
Thanks for the support everyone.
I bought some balls and threw them at a fence from 60.6 ft out. (Major League Distance) got them over the plate most of the time pretty well of course I had some wild ones since I have not pitched in 7 years...
I would rather not pitch again until I have someone to catch for me.
I had a pretty good change up and sinker but that was about it since I only pitched until 9th grade..
I tried a knuckleball but ended up throwing the ball clear over the fence!
From pitching last time I can tell I really need some practice but after throwing a fastball with everything I had last night and watching how fast it went I think I can shape up pretty well.
Thats awesome bro... My uncle got invited to try out with the Phillies in the 70's but he decided to turn it down. He talks about it at every family thing now. Biggest regret of his life.
*Point: DO IT.
well! :D
After practicing again today I have realized I am pitching much faster than I did. AND it has only taken me a few days of practice to get my accuracy back. I am now pitching it in or very near the strike-zone.
I know it's kinda lame posting about my progress but I am so exited on how much I have improved without even playing baseball in 7 YEARS....
:hick: :hick: :hick: :hick: :hick: :hick: :burnout: :birdsmily: :cougarsmily:
Well, I'm watching the World Series right now...I think the Rockies could use you! ;)
if you weren't so far away I'd volunteer to test your pitches out. I used to be a pretty good hitter in my day.
Claude, on the other hand...he's always telling me he likes being the catcher. And I don't think he's talking baseball.
No they couldn't! Hahaha
(from Vermont thus a Red Sox Fan) :P
That is ironic that I am living in Colorado now huh haha
Brian is going to catch for me so I am good to go on that.
OH YEAH!
Beckett is a BEAST! woooo! ;)
Red Sox... Tribe for life!
