Title: What EEC is this?
Post by: Crash225 on May 13, 2007, 03:11:59 PM
I bought a 5.0 HO out of a '93 bird that came with a computer. The guy said it was from the car but I'm having problems verifying the program code. It is F3MF-12A650-AA. I tried internet searches and fordfuelinjection.com with no luck. Can anyone verify what computer this is before I mess with my 87 harness?

What is the “CODE” on the sticker?
The number you have there (F3MF-12A650-AA) is the serial number or part number or something? Not the "CODE"

Look at the pic's at the top of this page from fordfuelinjection.com (http://"http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=17") and see if you can find it by the "CODE" and not the Serial Number. Should be 4 characters MAX. If it's over that it's not the Code.

IF it’s HO from a 93 Bird as he says it should have one of these four “CODES” on the sticker

J0T2
L1C
P3M
X2P

See anything like that on it?

No. None of those codes. It has "S3S" printed right above the bar code. I have a picture but its 578kb (upload limit is 146kb for .jpg). I checked fordfuelinjection again with no results. There doesn't seem to be any other 3-4 digit codes anywhere on the box.

Notice that F3MF-AA is one of the available EECs. Thus, you have an EEC out of a '93 Thunderbird.

The F3 in F3MF would suggest '93 model year, anyway...

Thanks for all the help guys. I didn't think that they would have all the codes on the site. I just didn't know where else to look. Good idea looking at someone's catalog. Thanks again.
