Poll
Question: What is your car?
Title: Bird or Cat: What's in your driveway?
Post by: Thunder Chicken on October 21, 2004, 09:45:13 PM
In the spirit of the shiny new board, let's get a demographic of our visitors. What do you have? Bird? Cougar? Hyundai (:yuck: )? I know many of you have more than one Fox Thundercat, but you can only choose one in the poll, so if you have, say, a pristine Cougar and a beater 'Bird, pick "Cougar". In short, pick what you consider to be your "Main" Bird or Cat.
Edit: You can pick more than one, but only different choices, (for example, 83-86 Bird and 87-88 Cat). If you've got more than one on the same body style you can only vote once for that body style, so Tom, you can only choose one 87-88 Turbo Coupe :p (this is a limit of the poll function, not a choice of mine)

Ok, obviously a Bird owner set this one up. There's a separate one for 87-88 Turbo Coupes but not for 87-88 XR-7.
I see where we rank here. Uh huh, ok, understand. That's cool. No, no, that's okay. Don't worry about it.

Nope, I'm with ya brian, I love the sound of a turbo 2.3, I mean you'd never guess by the fact that I have 2 ;)
And to really get all of you... my first hot rod will probably be a Ford Anglia with a built 2.3 turbo engine and a 5 speed and when it's done, I'll bring it to CJ for some fun

I love how my 2.3T sounds. It's loud as hell, but somehow avoids that raspy zing most 4bangers get with an opened up exhaust. No fart here, only a heavy roar. I'll try to throw an audio clip together.

1.) I drive an 88 T/C body with a 5.0. Motor has Edelbrock Performer heads, Performer RPM intake, FRPP F-303 cam, Comp Cams roller rockers, 93 Cobra computer, 24 lb inj, windage tray, high volume oil pump, high volume fuel pump, Kirban adjustable fuel regulator, Mac cold air kit, full Mac exhaust, 5 lug conversion with 97 cobra wheels, 13 Cobra brakes, lowered, Koni's, etc, etc, etc. You get the picture. This is my nice weather vehicle. 2.) My foul weather ride is an 04 F-250 Crew Cab Lariat pick-up with the V-10. Sucks gas but moves out pretty good. 3.) Wife's ride is an 02 Mercury Sable with the 24V V-6. car is pretty quick for a family hauler.

John: Looking forward to your solution. I haven't had much time to look into trying anything to fix mine. Whenever I walk up to my car that dried out rubber just seems to jump out at me and it takes away from the condition of the rest of the car. Thanks for the compliments. I'm still trying to decide what to do for more power. A turbo would keep it a "TURBO COUPE", a supercharger and I'd have an 88 "SUPERCOUPE", or just stroke the motor and not worry about detonation from PSI.

(sometimes I wish this place would officially adopt Fox Marks.. the Lincoln board I go to is OK, but the Fox Mark section is just one section of a larger Lincoln group.. Panther bodies, SUVs, etc. Besides, some people I talk to have started confusing my Mark for a T-bird.. heh)

I dont necessarily HATE any kind of vehicle. There are just times when I dislike some more than others. I started the Cougar today after a month of sitting and Now there are no brakes at all, gonna get her fixed next week, God I miss driving that car. I have way to many ideas for all of those cars. Im keeping most of them until I graduate so when I do try and open up a shop, Ill keep the ones I have to have and sell the others.
