Title: 8.8 rear end quad shocks
Post by: 88cat on January 22, 2005, 11:59:06 PM
Hey guys i just got a 8.8 rear out of a mustang and it had quad shocks, so my question is should I install them? Will the quad shocks give me more power to the ground and maybe better handling or should I remove them from the diff thanks guys lmk.

They will help with wheel hop, if you've got all the bracket to bolt them up, use them definetley.

Do you have the brackets on the frame rails? I thought the XR7s only got those?

You cannot use Mustang frame brackets...you must use T-Bird/Cougar brackets. Otherwise, yes, install them if you can. They really help keep the rear end behaving.

I've got them on my T-Bird and they seem to help a little.Better than before I put the locker in.The quads keep the rear end from bouncing around so much.I installed new quadshocks,as the used ones were VERY used.
