Thanks, You and me both you guys just dont know how close this car has came to being a cube im just glad an oppertunity arouse so i could put it back together. Ive always had a soft spot for the 2.3T Its not going anywhere:D

Looks killer man. Put a chrome bird back on the nose, and i think itll be sweet.

I actually really like the satin color too. It's 100% better than flat and it's something different from the normal gloss black. I also love those wheels.

I like the semi gloss too. Call me crazy but I think I would paint the moulding on the front and rear as well as the mirrors and window trim gloss black. :dunno:

Yay for pics. Hehe, Ironically enough it really doesn't look too bad. I'm sure that it even looks better in person. Gloss trim and mirrors and such might actually make it look even better. Like a reverse paint job. just do something about that header bird, special or not ;).

Look a clean machine, seriously I like that, It's the first time in My life I love a semi gloss/satin paint on a car, I never liked before.

Im liking the bird man! But i guess Im kinda partial to the 87-88's.
2.3,5.0,351c who cares? They look good anyway ya do'em. I got my eye on another 2.3TC here in my area. Im waiting for the kid to practically give it away,I also found one in NE that i can get for a little or nothing. I might start a Thunderbird,Cougar,Mustang collection on some land and itemize the parts and sell them.And rebuild the good ones.

Thanks, The springs are stock 86 t/c and the rears are cut a half coil

I agree with everyone else, that semi-gloss is looking really good. I always wondered what an 87-88TC would look like with out the hood scoops. I looks a whole lot cleaner IMO. Nice work!

That looks mean in primer. I like the SVT wheels also. Also it's nice to see a hood on it without a big hole in it

I think I like the cobra's better.
I'm guessing the reason for cutting the hole in the bumper cover is to get more air across the intercooler?

yeah it used to have a fullsize powerstroke unit in it.

Looking back on page 6 of this thread, your Tbird looks EXTREMELY nice with those other wheels. I love the old school slicked down primer look with tasteful 5 spoke wheels. I find those other wheels a bit too 'aggressive' looking for the car, but they look wonderful on the Stang.

i dunno those mustang rims look too small or something. i think i've seen them on mustangs so much that the length of the bird throws those rims off... the cobras looked big and tall and kinda matched better.

Hey, is the Brainerd Optimist Club still operating the drag strip there?? I had a 68' VW that I used to run out there that was setup for strip use.

The dragstrip is now leased out to steve longley by the optimist club,The real honest charlies went out in the late 80's around 4 years ago pen 15er tire bought the name and opened this location right smack dab downtown. Not on honest street were it used to be ;(
