V6 auto 80k miles Started to disassemble to replace head gaskets realized I lack the necessary time and desire to complete. Planning on sping but figured I'd throw it out there if anyone needs parts.
Please include a cash offer on all parts requests, I don't want to figure out parts values, its only worth what you are willing to pay vs the time it will take for me to remove it and ship.
If you have a preferred method of shipping, UPS, USPS, FED EX, let me know. I accept Pay Pal
Left fender is no good, hole at the top of wheel opening
I also have v8 mounts from Chuck as well as a 8.8 rebuild kit
Unexpectedly, my space problem has been solved. So after an weekend of emotional roller coasters regarding this car I've decided to proceed with the engine swap. Kind of realized that if i dump the Bird, I will just get the itch again and buy something worse. Ask me how I know this
That's why I'm looking at the" you pull it". Gives the car the chance to keep giving. Time is of the essence, snows starting to fly, wife would like the garage back. The space I was counting on to do the original 5.0 swap kind of fell through.
I have considered the advice received in a different post and have decided to cut my losses. If it does not sell its off to the junk yard. I will try to dump it at a you pull it if it comes to it and will post that info in the appropriate forum. $300 OBO
Space and especially time have dried up for me which is what derailed the 5.0 swap. I think I am probably going to send the heads out and replace the gaskets. Even if I only break even selling it then, at least someone else gets to enjoy it. Or maybe I'll run it for a bit. Thanks again for your help!
Some of you may have seen my 88 T-Bird for sale in the marketplace. Since there doesn't seem to be any interest I'm weighing my options. I need some feedback as to what the car is worth if, and if it is likely to sell if I A, repair the blown head gasket, B, install the 5.0 H.O and Tremec 5 speed I took out of the cancered Mustang, stock with shorty headers and engine months from Chuck, or C, EBay as is. Thanks in advance for sharing your experience and input.
