I had a 01 3 series beamer that did the exact same thing 1st gear would just about break my wrist when i let off the clutch and it turned out to be the syncros went bad.
Heyo guys! I've been away for a good little while and decided i was over due to come back and converse with you guys! And for a little update from me I hit a rough patch with my life and had to sell my Bird, she's been gone for about 1 1/2 now and I miss her so so terribly much and I've gained a new respect on how I should have cherished my bird more than I did, But! I've finally got to a place where I'm not strapped for cash and I forsee no my problems for now! (Knocking on wood!) I've been playing with the idea of getting another 87-88 Sport but it's become pretty dang hard to find one and the ones I find they are either trashed beyond repair or they are prestine and want way more than they should. But other than that I miss the fun that I had talking with you Fine Folks and I'll be around alot more now so get used to it! Muhahaha! Now if your still awake when you get to this point I shall thank you for your time and I bid you adue!
I've seen that the factory springs on the 95-98 mustang's will fit on our cars and lower them a good bit and i was just wondering if i would have to change out my shocks and struts and if i do what will work? I'm going to be replacing my steering rack and pump and i thought while i'm at it let me ask and see if i can get a idea of what it will take before i get started.
Congrats! I'm not a father yet but i'm a full time uncle of a set of twins that are about to enter the terrible two's so i understand how a father feels, the antition up until the day it's born might just kill you so relax and enjoy the wonderful world of parenthood!
Might want to invest in a simple camera system, at the shop i work at our metal bin would just empty itself about twice a month and when i checked the security system i found about a years worth of some crackheads coming out of the woods behind the shop and taking as much as they can and going back out thru those woods and i took a quick romp thru the woods where they came from and found a bread trail of bumper's and sheet metal that lead straight into the back yard of a mobile home where i saw a hood that i took of a truck about a month before laying up against the trailer and i told my boss about it and man i can't tell you the way the thief's ran from the cops was something that bill murray could have cooked up, about a week ago they got all of them and they lead us to a junk yard where they where selling the stuff and i mean i saw stuff that i had taken off cars when i started here about a year ago, it was amazing!
But back to your situation if you don't have the time or patience for cameras you can always tie a couple of paint can's to some strings and have it rigged up to where when you open it it'll release the paint cans and give'em on heck of a scare! or a simple trap door will suffice.
Beautiful truck! I almost bought one myself but everytime i looked at it it screamed and i quote "BEWARE I'M A DODGE" so i kinda passed on it but i have another in my sights and hopefully soon i can surprise you guys! and don't worry about your clutch at least you have some understanding of how it's suppose to work unlike my friend who i tried to teach in my ol' fox stang, the poor car didn't even make it a week after i tried to teach him and i had to put it out to the pasture.
Why would someone do that? My bird is just like my child i would never let anything bad happen to it, even if i totaled it i would try and rebuild it or transplant everything and keep the body as a keep sake.
